Dear House

Dear house,

thank you for keeping me safe for three years

for being too hot in the summer

and too cold in the winter

thank you for your roof and walls

you held my dreams intact

I know you are over 100 years old

but you don’t look a day over 50

dear house

I hope you still stand

after the great flood

I hope you float away to Africa

I hope you take flight like a bird

I hope

Best of luck in Montana… may the sun shine on your face, may the wind be at your back, and may all you hopes and dreams come true… pax et lux

That’s the nicest poem to a house I’ve ever read! Inspirational … Hope your new abode is as poetic!

Very nice. Wish you all the happiness ever in Montana — the only place my husband is willing to move when we retire.
